Windows Phone 7 issue with Zune

I followed these steps to resolve my Windows Phone 7 sync issue with Zune software on my Windows 8 Laptop.

Most of the steps are same from this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2468307 but my issue wasn’t resolved following all rules and restarting phone with battery removal as well as restart of computer.

Please note: Deleting a certificate can create issues with owner ship of files or data, and just because this solution has worked for me, it may not work for you. Use at your own risk.

  1. Close the Zune software and disconnect your phone from your computer.
  2. Open Certificate Manager. To do this, click Start, type certmgr.msc in the Start search bar, and then press your Enter key.
    Windows 8 users:
On the Start screen, type Certificate, tap or click Settings in the right column, and then tap or click Manage computer certificates.
  3. In the pop-up window, tap or click the Personal folder in the left column, and then double tap or double click the Certificates folder in the right column.
  4. Click the heading that says Issued By to sort the column, and then look for one or more certificates that read "zune-tuner://windowsphone/...".
  5. Right-click the certificate file and click Delete.
  6. Make sure phone is not connected to the computer, if it is then disconnect it.
  7. Connect the phone to computer and after the Zune software opens, all items will start syncing.

Following these steps resolved my sync issue with Windows 8 laptop.

Rosetta Stone: 2125 Error Message

Update 2: It seems if you have an external sync hard drive or storage, setup to keep two computers in sync with each other, the tracking.db3 file will get corrupted. Even if the sync feature is only used on a single computer as a backup method and not connected to second computer. Make sure to exclude the Rosetta Stone folder in case you have any sync features from external hard drives, or service from dropbox, jungle disk, cloud storage or other file sharing application setup on your system. Update 1: Rosetta Stone has posted an update on it's website on how to upgrade. http://support.rosettastone.com/link/portal/14006/14042/Article/5527/Update-Instructions-Rosetta-Stone-Version-3-Latest-Application-Versions Original Post:  If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 then most likely the issue is with the permissions of the Rosetta Stone Software. Try running the program as Administrator. Right click on the "Rosetta Stone Version _" and if available select "R

Google Mail Hangout Message Upon Delete Action

Don't know if I get annoyed this much as the Google's Mail Hangout Message, when I select to delete number or messages. " Because some are part of a Hangout, they have been removed from your Mail mailbox, but will still show up in other Hangouts apps and chat windows. " The message takes over the entire tool bar, and does not allow me to repeat the actions, it does not goes away until way late and would have appreciated but not allowed is a option to close. If I want to delete more items on the same page than i have to refresh the window to repeat the task. Wish the future update can allow me to close this message.
